More midweek chill (thanks Keith).
My friends at SWT and I used to drive around the hill country a lot. Many evenings and setting suns spent sailing the serpentine spine of the Devil’s Backbone.
This might be an un-naturally skewed chill representation of that time of life, but it was definitely developed in the darkness following one of said drives.
This is all Buzz and also includes guitar (I did get really into that I had forgotten).

Title: Live from Stafford 20 December 2008
Artist: Bananahat
Album: Live from Bryan, TX
Date: 2008

When all three members of Bananahat happened to convene in Bryan, Texas around the Christmas of 08, good things happened. SkullF*cker had a show booked at Stafford, and along with Bryce Clayton Eiman, Bananahat was around to pull the electro-noise-house vibes out of the winter downtown air.
Technically, this was Bananahat plus, as we had two at-large members join us on stage in masks and stuff. There’s laptops, live vocals, a feedbacker modded-sp303, akai mpc, korg er-1, tuning forks, contact mics, more feedback loops, and most importantly the magic of the season and weariness of the road.
The actual performance was about 30 minutes, but the recordings got started a short ways into it. Major props to Houston for hitting that record button…I don’t know how I could ever remember much less describe Bananahat at their finest hour.
Chappy Chanukah to all yall.

It’s not too early in the week to party, right?
This one grew out of proposition to ‘dj’, indirectly, again, a Halloween party happening in Waco. I prepared the mix beforehand, then Jared and I headed to Waco to meet my sister at Georges, head to a party near campus, get kicked off the doorsteps of the girls dorm, then finally head down to Houston I believe for an a capella band concert?! Hell of a time.
This one is very college-coed friendly with the hits and some 80s and some Hip Hop and some Noggin remixes / edits to spice it up.
This track includes hits from, but not limited to:
Genesis
Eminem
New Order
Miss Kittin and the Hacker
INXS

Take note cause this is probably about as close as I’ll get to recording a Christmas track.
The other day while ripping the wonderful John Fahey Christmas record to computer, I started seeing what I could do with it using the mixer and a delayed (thanks soundcard latency!) version of the signal. These are the short snippets I managed to catch to tape, edited together audacity time-line style.
To clarify, these are live manipulations of the John Fahey record.
Merry Xmas.

From the Red House, somehow maybe evolved from working on a Karl Blau set?
A live favorite.
