Special kind of show this morning. Kept it relatively in dream world / disco-funk-tooth-brushing-dance world. One thing to note is that Hank switched from his normal show about flour, to teaming up with Aunt Jemima herself to bring you a program about syrup and pancakes and waffles etc.
Still the greatest part of this show was Bryan’s very own Joel North swinging by to do a little live acoustic number, straight from the Bell Studios to the airwaves.
Hope you enjoy, and thanks to Joel.
This weeks show includes hits from, but not limited to:
Alabama Shakes
Oasis
Joel North
Serge Gainsbourg
Benjamin Diamond

Rode this trail solo tonight, mixing live with the old school Ecler and double-dipping a bit back into the batch of mystery-wax from the last show I personally did.
Much love to the callers who keep me going, and holler at the rest of the crew around town.

Wow – lots of Bobby Bare fans around ol Bryan TX. The phones were ringing and my txts were blowing up when I dropped the tune about being drop-kicked through the goal posts of life. Solid show though – lots of good country (new too!) in the first hour per request, and lots of Van Halen bluegrass in the second half per request.

Trypset and Noggin – Broken Fences

Title: Broken Fences
Artist: Trypset and Noggin
Album: Trypnog
Date: 2012

This is a track Trypset and I jammed out one February night, which I subsequently re-tracked, bounced to tape, yadda yadda yadda, named, and uploaded.
The name of this track comes from a couple inspirations:
- DJ Broken Fences is a name I always saw in San Marcos, and maybe the best DJ name I’ve ever heard (Trypset is a SM native)
- the recently mended broken fence in my back yard (yard party 2012 is on yall)
- sounds good, man
Alternate title is ‘The Ballad of Broken Fences’.
This is a mellow, trip hop, illbient, blunted style courtesy the mpc2000xl and some korg synth engine.
Recorded in Bryan, TX, Feb 2012.

This is a special show as I devote the second half to Gramps’s stack of records. They had been sitting on a shelf in their house for years, and he really took good care of them…unfortunately he didn’t take as good care of the original Hank Williams 78′s…we forgive you though, what a find those were (and yes they’re in an album now).
The phone generally rings pretty off the hook during this show, and today was no exception.
Thanks yall.
