Solid show today as I wrap up my tenure at the Bell Studios. Some of everything can be found here, from straight, sad, country jams, to disco mixing, and even a little live in-studio session that apparently people really enjoyed.
Thank yall for listening.

Last pledge drive show for a while, and so I stick to keeping it themed. The theme today is Zoe Muth’s recent trip to the Bell Studios in Bryan, TX. Zoe is from Ballard, WA, and someone who I first came across while I was living up there in Anacortes. Karl Blau and I were to play the Tractor Tavern in Ballard, and Zoe was playing a couple days after us. I looked her up to see what we were getting in to, and really was smitten with her work. Since being at KEOS I’ve played her pretty often on my morning show, and was really happy to see that she was coming to do an in-studio performance last Saturday. I stuck around after my country show and ran the board for them. You can hear the entirety of their excellent set peppered throughout today’s show.
This weeks show includes hits from, but not limited to:
The Black
Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers
Group X
Ethan Master of the Hawaiian Ukulele
Blaze Foley
etc, etc…
Morning Groove 22 March 2013
For my first show of the pledge drive (donate now), I keep it more KEOS-centric than usual and play songs that I have recorded either at the KEOS Bell Studio, or out during a KEOS live event.
I also mix in some stuff from the library and one request that was just funky enough to make the cut.
This weeks show includes hits from, but not limited to:
Alyx Pryce
The Black
Slaid Cleaves
Adam Carroll
Mark Jungers

Noggin – A Deeper Understanding
Title: A Deeper Understanding (full mix)
Artist: DJ Noggin
Album: A Deeper Understanding
Date: 2012
This mix is seriously about 5 years in the making. Long ago, my homey Robsi asked me for a mix of extremely mellow house music that he could study to. Maybe you could call me a perfectionist, because here on the eve of the last test he might ever have to take, I feel the tracklist is complete. And I mean that – had I done it at any point prior, some of these excellent tracks would have been omitted seeing as they weren’t released yet.
It’s a subdued and melodic affair, straight to the dome, releasing tension amidst an omnipresent hope and optimism.
Put it on late night, put it on out of your mind, or do as intended, pop in the earbuds, crack open the law books, and get absolutely no studying done.
Includes hits from, but not limited to:
Shackleton
Sascha Funke
Ellen Allien and Apparat
Golden Boy and Miss Kittin
Safety Scissors
etc, etc…
