Album: KEOS Broadcasts
Date: 2013
Part 1
Part 2

Last pledge drive show for a while, and so I stick to keeping it themed. The theme today is Zoe Muth’s recent trip to the Bell Studios in Bryan, TX. Zoe is from Ballard, WA, and someone who I first came across while I was living up there in Anacortes. Karl Blau and I were to play the Tractor Tavern in Ballard, and Zoe was playing a couple days after us. I looked her up to see what we were getting in to, and really was smitten with her work. Since being at KEOS I’ve played her pretty often on my morning show, and was really happy to see that she was coming to do an in-studio performance last Saturday. I stuck around after my country show and ran the board for them. You can hear the entirety of their excellent set peppered throughout today’s show.
This weeks show includes hits from, but not limited to:
The Black
Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers
Group X
Ethan Master of the Hawaiian Ukulele
Blaze Foley

This is one Dag-Nab-It proposed a long time ago, and we finally got around to doing properly.
The music in this show all comes from soundtracks, scores, that type of stuff. We hit a lot of wax but also dive a bit into some newer stuff maybe only available on CD.
Also includes a full set tribute to Giorgio Moroder.
Thanks to those who donated during this show.

For my first show of the pledge drive (donate now), I keep it more KEOS-centric than usual and play songs that I have recorded either at the KEOS Bell Studio, or out during a KEOS live event.
I also mix in some stuff from the library and one request that was just funky enough to make the cut.

‘Feels good man’ type of show, as we focus more on the mix-it-up school vs. sticking to any one theme. A friend of mine asked for a record of mine ‘when I’m tired of it’ – well I aint yet, but you can rip that Nobukazu right here from track 1. We keep it varied as usual, and include a nice little live Ides of March tribute to Julius Caeser during the 0715 Classic Breakdown.
This weeks show includes hits from, but not limited to:
Adrian Belew
Tina Turner
Dale Watson
Paul Jabara

I’m kindly keeping this one for Kyle. A little less country, little more rock, and a spell of a disco mix session. We also wrap up that wonderful Ever Ending Kicks record (thanks again Paul). Tons of requests this morning too – and they ended up all being good. Thank yall for keeping me in tune.

Technology – what a concept. For this show I went all cd’s mixing from the rack cd players we have at the station. Its actually pretty fun, and the remote starts on the faders are quite a novelty paired with cue points. I hit it up with some house, some idm type stuff, and then a bit of a downbeat segment towards the end.
