Dag-Nab-It helps me pull off maybe the best episode of Groovesday ever. Hot off the heels of Austin Psych Fest, the only inspiration we had was ‘psychedelic’. We just took that and ran with it.
What makes the show great though, as always, is the feedback loop. We had people listening all over Texas (at least) and sending love our way frequently, which just spurs us on to be better.

So yea, I’m back. I been away a bit because I have been training a new volunteer, so I’ve been at the show, just letting her run things. She did great so I’m back at it.
This was a very fun show covering a wide range as I try to do. Oh and I totally get hoaxed into playing the wrong Daft Punk – but still a good track.

Really had a good time on this show using the station equipment. That means a couple rack cd-players and the volume-only mixing board. It makes for a different style of mixing which I must say is growing on me. More of the let the songs play out and mix themselves vs. sculpting the mix with eq.
The first half hits a lot of drum n bass / jungle styles, the second half goes more electro / four to floor / house type ish.
I want to give a big shout to those who caught me on the internet streaming – really appreciate all the love.
