Reeeeallly close to wrapping up the Pictures of Clouds release, but, as is the nature of the beast, it’s a bit of a nebulous thing. More tracks bearing the moniker are still to come, but for the most part, the set is complete and presentable.

Finally getting a bit more ambient with what was intended to be an ambient project. This second song from the Pictures of Clouds sessions sort of rolled out immediately after the first couple jams. The tapedeck went like, pause,(pause),un-pause, and we got back into it. Once again rockin with the sequencers off. MPC and Ion + a young master + a young anacortian + myself. One that fits the original ‘ambient’ vibe of the POC release a little closer.
This is basically track 3 off the album, not counting the intro track. We are just riding a vibe here, sequencer off, fx routed and fedback on each other, Elena chilling under the window.

Another classic from the whirlwind-Pictures-of-Clouds-ambient-album-post-Whidbey-Island-recording-sessions-with-Elena. Seriously, from ‘let’s make an album’ to ‘damn near complete’ album just a few hours later, this was a magical time in the Red House studio. I attribute much of this to the 3rd member, whose only instrument during the session was good vibes. Plus The Young Master absolutely killing it on the keyboards on this one. Major impromptu props.

Here is one more track from the POC sessions that I kind of recorded on a whim while trying out an auto-tune feeding back on itself.
I’m hesitant to attach this one to the POC releases, but it definitely came from those sessions. Consider it a super secret track that you might find branded as POC, Noggin, or whatever else.

Unofficial Pictures of Clouds release…recorded to cassette one morning in the RedHouse studio in Anacortes with only half the band (that’d be me). I do believe it’s pretty much straight off the MS2000. I love the boing effect of the notes gliding from hi to low. I’m back in Anacortes for a couple of days so loading yall up with the Anacortes sessions seems appropriate.
