Back in December, DJ Dag-Nab-It and I had the pleasure of being asked to provide the ambiance at a wedding here in town. The criteria was unique – keep it classy and make it feel like post-WWII.
Well we had a blast doing this one. Kind of a beautiful set up to the actual event as well – Dag-Nab-It scored some great records from Uncle “Smokey” Al Hanson (thanks Uncle Al), and I found the main record that was requested literally on the last dig I went on.

Well this was a really good show I must say. Some recording glitches will make themselves very apparent for about a third of it…I was using tape so there are cuts where I flip sides, and for the second part, the tape recorded at about 1/4 level, so hope you like hiss!
Starts out kind mellow, morning style, goes into some jazzy ish, some country, back to the jams, back to the old timey, and finally onto more ‘b-side’ style rock.

This is a special show as I devote the second half to Gramps’s stack of records. They had been sitting on a shelf in their house for years, and he really took good care of them…unfortunately he didn’t take as good care of the original Hank Williams 78′s…we forgive you though, what a find those were (and yes they’re in an album now).
The phone generally rings pretty off the hook during this show, and today was no exception.
