Remix of Trypset‘s track “Ding Dong”.

From Dwight to a Dude.
More material from the sessions with EMHU out in Palo Alto. I really like this track but never got the name for it. I can’t tell you where this extrapolation and modulation came from, but I dig and I hope you do. This is one for the headphone heads.

Trypset and I put down the majority of this one the first time we tried. It’s now made the rounds through some Abletons, racks, daws, and tapes, and I want to be sure to put it out during the December trackaday blowout currently ongoing.
See yall at birds and the beats.

Bill and Jon (Billijons, Bojillions, etc) recorded this killer track sometime last fall. Really came out of nowhere and knocked everyone down. I managed to get the tracks, and after much procrastination, finally finished some remixes due to a well timed txt-message. They could use some work in the mixing, but thats fine as I feel you really need to pass mixing and then mastering off to different people to really get a well-tuned production.
Major props to Jon on the production and Bill on the vox…absolutely incredible performance…I was sitting here with these loose ideas for a track, then I accidentally unmuted Bills vox track…suddenly the track started to make sense. Coincidentally enough, the vocal track I had was not used in their final version. You’ve aint never heard homedude hold notes for this long, sounds good.
This is part 3 from a 5 part remix-o-rama that runs the gamut from basic edits to total noise loop annihilation.
Thanks Bill and Jon for being awesomer.

Last September I finally built my x0xb0x. That is a bass-synthesizer, clone of the infamous Roland TB-303. It’s amazing how, for 15 years I have been trying to emulate this one particular sound, and now, after about two weeks huddled over a circuit board and huffing solder fumes, all I have to do is plug this machine in.
A C I D.
This was recorded literally seconds after I turned the machine on for the first time.
Uploading today because I just opened her up to do a bit of surgery…the USB section (yes acid has been brought to the 21st century) is not working, and I thought/was hoping/am hoping it was just a bad resonator not letting the FTDI usb chip run properly…we’ll see…
Muchas gracias to the kind soul from Germany sending me a resonator so I could try it out.
Edit after the fact: WTF is my problem posting a 303 track on 302!? HAPPY 303 everyone. Request Thursday still stands…

Request!
This is from some Pizza Party sessions rocking a 1986 Ensoniq workstation synthesizer. Well, sort of, the original demo was kind of jammy, so I bounced down the constituent parts, edited, and added vocals this afternoon. Here’s hoping you dig.
ps. The mix/master slider on this one was set to -4.

Welcome back, Jon.
Here’s one that, after extensive editing, got pieced together from some tape Jon and I laid down one night in the garage.
It’s an ER-1, some harmonica, and that old orange guitar, cut to hell and edited in Logic.

Release Date: 2010

Fast forward to present day. This is a track I whipped up out of boredom/inspiration one afternoon last spring. This differs from my normal take on production in that it is pretty much entirely Logic instruments doing the sound generation – with the exception of the terminal ‘say’ command reading from a Chuck script I wrote for a friend who needed a looping sampler.
Dedicated to and inspired by my good amigo Mr. Marquez-Borbon. How about laying down some real tape-sax for me hombre?! Includes hand-shuffled rhythms.
